Night dive request

Night dives must be requested and approved in advance. A Divemaster must lead the dive, emergency oxygen must be on site, and every diver needs a primary light. Approval is not guaranteed — conditions can cancel a dive at any time.

Night diving presents additional risks, including reduced visibility, difficulty navigating, separation from dive partners, equipment failure, changes in weather or water conditions, and delayed access to assistance.

Mandatory night dive requirements

All of the following must be met before a night dive may begin. Failure to meet any requirement may result in the dive being denied or terminated.

Emergency oxygen — an appropriate unit will be at the dive site and immediately accessible for the entire dive; the group provides it unless approved otherwise in writingDivemaster — the dive will be led by a Divemaster present for the entire diveProof of certification — the Divemaster can provide proof of current certification on requestBuddy system — divers stay within the limits of their training and certificationDive lights — every diver carries a suitable primary light; a backup is strongly recommendedStaff approval — the dive will not begin until approved by management or designated dive staffConditions may cancel — Vortex Spring Adventures may delay, restrict, cancel or terminate the dive at any time

Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that approval of a night dive is not guaranteed, that Vortex Spring Adventures may impose additional requirements or restrictions, and may cancel or terminate the dive at any time when staff determine conditions are unsafe or unsuitable. All participants are responsible for following Vortex Spring Adventures rules, posted regulations, staff instructions and the terms of any applicable admission, diving, rental or liability waiver.
